Generating a barcode on LibreQR is a quick, straightforward process from your control panel. Follow these steps:
- Access your control panel: log in to your LibreQR account.
- Choose the format: select the barcode type you need (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, ITF-14, or Codabar) based on how you'll use it.
- Enter the value to encode: type in the number or text you want the barcode to represent.
- Generate the code: select the generate option so LibreQR creates your barcode instantly.
- Download the image: save the generated file to use wherever you need it, such as on product packaging, shipping labels, or inventory tags.
Before you generate your code
Important: each format requires a value with a specific length and character type. For example, an EAN-13 code must contain exactly 13 numeric digits, while a UPC-A needs 12. Code 128 and Code 39, on the other hand, accept alphanumeric values within their own rules. If the value you enter doesn't match the format required by the chosen standard, the barcode won't generate correctly or won't be readable by a standard scanner. Always check the length and data type before generating your barcode.
