In LibreQR you can customize your QR code's design so it matches your brand, without affecting how well it scans.
What you can customize
- Colors: change the color of the code's modules and the background to match your visual identity.
- Logo or centered image: add your brand's logo or another image in the center of the QR code.
Why does a QR code with a logo still work?
When you add a logo, LibreQR generates the code with a high error correction level. This means the QR code includes enough redundant information to stay readable even though part of it is covered by the center image.
Recommendations for a QR code that scans well
- Avoid color combinations with low contrast between the background and the modules (for example, light colors on a light background).
- Keep the center logo a moderate size; if it's too large it can make the code harder to read.
- Before printing or publishing the code, test it by scanning it with several different phones and apps.
How to customize the design
- From your dashboard, create a new QR code or edit an existing one.
- Go to the design customization options.
- Choose the colors you want for the background and the modules.
- Upload the logo or image you want shown in the center.
- Generate or save your changes and check the result by scanning the code.
